Micah Xavier Johnson (July 2nd, 1991 - July 8th, 2016) was the perpetrator of the July 7–8, 2016 sniper attacks in Dallas, Texas that led to the deaths of five officers. He was killed by police hours after the shootings. He was upset with Black Lives Matter and killed those officers as retaliation for the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile. He specifically shot the officers because they were white.
