Since his release from prison, he has been declared bankrupt. Β After serving a two year prison sentence, Vick made a comeback in the NFL in 2009, retiring in 2017. He has since redeemed himself for his past involvement in dog-fighting, and now regularly speaks out against the practice and actively works to put an end to it.
