When they stopped him again, he began to struggle, and was grabbed by PC Stuart Outten. After PC Outten grabbed him, Rodwan picked up a machete he had in the van with him and hacked him in the head with it four times. However, PC Outten still managed to fire his taser, hitting Rodwan and incapacitating him. PC Outten later recovered after receiving emergency medical treatment.
