==Murder==
On 21 June 2020, a gang consisting of five Asian teenagers (Usman Karolia, Raja Nawaz, Irfan Hussain, Nikash Hussain and Nabeel Naseer) and one adult (Ahmed Karolia, who was 24) approached Gledhill and his friends Kasey Hall and Joel Ramsden after the three walked into their territory and demanded to know what they were doing there. When Gledhill and his friends refused to answer, the gang attacked them with knives. Hall and Ramsden managed to escape with survivable stab wounds, but Gledhill was cornered by the gang in a cul-de-sac. The gang shoved him to the ground and, ignoring the fact that there were several witnesses including a young child, proceeded to stab, kick, punch and stamp him before running away and leaving him to bleed to death. During the attack, the gang snatched his phone and later disposed of it down a drain to prevent it from being traced. They also burned the clothes they were wearing at the time.

During the police investigation, CCTV footage was found showing the gang chasing Gledhill. More recovered footage showed them disposing of something down a drain, which the police found to be Bradley Gledhill's phone. The burnt remains of their clothing were found and linked to them, and blood found on the clothes was confirmed to be that of Bradley Gledhill. All six gang members were eventually arrested, and one was found to have on his phone an audio recording in which the gang laughed about the murder and discussed how to get rid of the phone. 

The gang pleaded not guilty, but all six were eventually convicted of murder due to the abundant evidence. Usman Karolia was also convicted of attempted murder and wounding with intent to kill for stabbing Kasey Hall and Joel Ramsden. The six each received life sentences, the minimum terms of which add up to a total of 81 years in prison.
