During the riots, he was notable for carrying a white flag with black lettering and a pine tree that read, “An Appeal to Heaven”, referencing the Pine Tree flag that was used in 1775 during the Revolutionary War. Lattanzi was later arrested on January 11, 2022 and indicted nine days later.
