Priest, a 23-year-old mother from Solihull, England, would frequently upload dance videos on the social media website, TikTok. Some of her videos would have her daughter, Kaylee-Jade, appear in them. While on the surface, it may seem like a sweet bonding between the mother and daughter, this was a mere farce to Priest's true nature. In reality, Priest and her boyfriend [[Callum Redfern]] would constantly abuse and neglect her. One the evening of the murder, Kaylee-Jade was awake crying when Priest and Redfern were trying to tuck her in bed. Instead of trying to calm her down, both of them started physically beating Kaylee-Jade. She later died from her injuries following the next day. She would later go on to shamelessly post more TikTok content as if Kaylee-Jade didn't exist, with one video in particular making a fake tribute to her. She was later arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison for the manslaughter of Kaylee-Jade. Her boyfriend was also found guilty as an accomplice and was given the same sentence as well.
