Nidal Malik Hassan (born September 8, 1970) was a former United States Army military officer who was the perpetrator of the Fort Hood shooting in Fort Hood, Texas on November 9, 2009, which killed 13 people and 30 people were injured. He was shot and taken into custody by Department of the Army Civillian Police officers, now paralyzed from the waist down.
He was found gulity and sentenced to death on August 28th, 2013.
