Francisco José Sanz Gonzalez de Martos, (Valencia, September 17, 1970 - Dissapeared February 2022), known as Paco Sanz, is a swindler convicted of fraud, misappropriation and money laundering of him, his parents and his sentimental ex-partner, worth 353,027 euros. From 2009 to 2017, he obtained a large part of the money by asking for donations through different activities, media and social networks on the Internet, which he apparently transferred to a non-profit organization, after declaring that he was on the verge of death because of Cowden syndrome. 

The deal Sanz has taken means that he has reduced his possible sentence from six years in prison to two, and his former girlfriend, Lucía Carmona, has been given one year and nine months. His mother and father were both accused of the crime. The father has since died in May 2020.

== Biography ==
Francisco was a security guard until he was diagnosed with Cowden syndrome in 2008. Previously, he had run an armory owned by his family, specializing in sport shooting. His father, Francisco Sanz Cancio, came to participate in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and was the president of the Shooting Federation of the Valencian Community (Fedtiroval) until 2018.

"Paco Sanz", as he gained public notoriety by appearing on the television program Gente, where he reported having a rare disease and not being covered by the public health system.
Subsequently, for years he conducted interviews with the media such as RTVE or 20 minutes, and managed to convince actors and journalists such as Santiago Segura, Dani Mateo, Santi Rodríguez, José Mota, Carlos Herrera, Isabel Gemio or YouTubers such as AuronPlay of his drama.
