Paco Sanz, known as the man with 2,000 tumours, has accepted a sentence of two years in prison, after reaching an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office in which he acknowledges having defrauded thousands of people simulating a terminal illness.
Francisco José Sanz Gonzalez de Martos, (Valencia, September 17, 1970), known as Paco Sanz, is a swindler convicted of fraud, misappropriation and money laundering of him, his parents and his sentimental ex-partner, worth 353,027 euros. From 2009 to 2017, he obtained a large part of the money by asking for donations through different activities, media and social networks on the Internet, which he apparently transferred to a non-profit organization, after declaring that he was on the verge of death because of Cowden syndrome.

The deal Sanz has taken means that he has reduced his possible sentence from six years in prison to two, and his former girlfriend, Lucía Carmona, has been given one year and nine months. His mother and father were both accused of the crime. The father has since died.
