The '''Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party''' ('''PAS''') is an Islamist political party in Malaysia founded on 24 November 1951 by Ahmad Fuad Hassan, a former [[United Malays National Organisation|UMNO]] member. From 2020 to 2022, they were part of the Government of Malaysia due to the [[2020 Malaysian political crisis]] which lead to [[Mahathir Mohamad]]'s resignation.  They also are believed to be allies and have close ties with the [[Muslim Brotherhood]] and the [[Taliban]].

Currently they have the largest number of seats in the parliament with 43 seats that was won during the 2022 Malaysian general election and remains the largest opposition party.

The party's goal is to establish Malaysia as an Islamic State and implement strict Sharia law such as Hudud to all citizens there.

==Notable Actions==
They party's hobbies include banning foreign and local concert performances, partying, gambling, drinking alcohol in public alongside festivals and many others. They also have gender segregation in public and ask women not to dress indecently and cover up with headscarves or else they will be punished.
