From 2020 to 2022, they were part of the Government of Malaysia due to the 2020 Malaysian political crisis which lead to Mahathir Mohamad's resignation. They also are believed to be allies and have close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Taliban.

Currently they have the largest number of seats in the parliament with 43 seats that was won during the 2022 Malaysian general election and remains the largest opposition party.

They party's hobbies include banning foreign and local concert performances, partying, gambling, drinking alcohol in public alongside festivals and many others. They also have gender segregation in public and ask women not to dress indecently and cover up with headscarves or else they will be punished.
