Phillip Chism is a 21-year-old man who is serving a life sentence for murdering his high school maths teacher, 23-year-old Colleen Ritzer. He killed her in October 2013 by slicing her throat with a box cutter in a girls' restroom at Danvers High School, which was the school he attended. He later took the unconscious Ritzer to the woods and sexually assaulted her with a stick.
