Phillip Chism is a 21-year-old man who is serving a life sentence for murdering his high school maths teacher, 23-year-old Colleen Ritzer. He killed her in October 2013 by slicing her throat with a box cutter in a girls' restroom at Danvers High School, which was the school he attended. He later took the unconscious Ritzer to the woods and sexually assaulted her with a stick. In June 2014, he attacked a female worker in a juvenile detention center in northeastern Massachusetts, eerily similar to the incident with Ritzer.
On December 2015, he was sentenced to life in prison with a chance of parole in 15-16 years due to him being a juvenile delinquent.
