Rachid Redouane (1986-2017) was a failed asylum seeker to the UK from Morocco and one of the three men responsible for the London Bridge attack in 2017. He was a domestic abuser and heavy drinker who worked as a pastry chef.

Attack

On the third of June 2017 Redouane, along with Youssef Zaghba and Khuram Butt, took part in a terror attack on London Bridge. Using a van hired by Khuram Butt, the three men killed two pedestrians in a ramming attack and injuring several others. The van was crashed on Borough High Street and the three got out and killed six people with knives before being shot by police.

Role in atrocities

Redouane's exact actions during the attack are not known. It is believed that Redouane spared one man during the events, but this man was never traced by police. It is also known that he was hit with a skateboard by one of the attack's victims.
