Ramadan Abdullah Mohammed Shalah (1958 – 6 June 2020) was the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) between from 1995 to 2018. The PIJ has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel. He was designated a terrorist by the US after assuming leadership of the PIJ and was indicted in a 53 court indictment on racketeering charges. He died in 2020 in Lebanon after being in a coma for 2 years.
