Rameses was an Egyptian Pharoah who ruled Egypt after the death of his father Pharoah Seti I. There was still slavery for the Hebrews in his time which was the cause of Moses unleashing the 10 Plagues of Egypt. Finally after giving in to the death of the First born Rameses gave in and let the hebrews go.

In popular culture

  • He also serves as the main villain in The Prince of Egypt where he is shown as Moses' brother and the de-facto villain. In the film he is voiced by Ralph Fiennes.
