Though he was only convicted in 1987 for the rape of 13-year-old Tiffany Edens, it was revealed that he sexually assaulted at least nine women between the late 1970s and early 1980s. he was only convicted of Edens' case due to state limitations. He was sentenced to 36 years in 1986, and is to be released in December 2022, where he will be 63 years of age then. At a young age, Gillmore was a victim of child abuse and abandonment. His father was a heavy alcoholic who abused him for years on end.
