Ringaudas Bronislovas Ignovich Songaila (April 20, 1929 in Klaipėda - June 25, 2019 [1] in Trakai) was a Soviet party and state figure.

Biography

1947-1950 studied at Gruzdziai veterinary technician. 1952-1954 LLKJS CK Komsomol organizer, since 1953 Member of the CPSU. 1955 Graduated from Lithuanian Veterinary Academy. 1955-1956 Assistant, Lithuanian Veterinary Academy. 1956-1957 The responsible organizer of the LCP CC Central Inspection Group.



1957-1960 Head of the Agricultural Division of the LSSR MT Affairs Board. 1960-1961 Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the LSSR. 1961-1962 Deputy Chairman of the LSSR MT, 1962-1963. First Deputy Chairman of LSSR MT, Minister of Agricultural Production and Preparation of LSSR. 1981 January 16 - 1985 November 18 - Chairman of the LSSR MT.



Since 1959 LSSR AT, since 1979. Deputy USSR AT. 1975 December 24 - 1981 January 16 - Chairman of the LSSR AT. 1985-1987 Chairman of the Presidium of the USSR AT, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the USSR AT.

R. I.Songaila was sanctioned in 1988 by the then second secretary of the LCP Central Committee, N. Mitkin.
