Robert Farquharson is a father of three who was murdered his three sons on September 4, 2005. He deliberately drove his car, a white 1989 VN Commodore, into a farm dam with his three sons in it, crashing and eventually sinking into a nearby pond. The three sons evenutally drowned to death.
He was later arrested and found guilty of the murders in 2007. He was ultimately sentenced to three terms of life imprisonment without parole.

Trivia
- He is the subject of the 2014 book, House of Grief, by Helen Garner, in which the work is based off of the murders of Farquharson's three children.
- He was additionally convicted in 2000 for molesting a little girl 13 years of age that was his neighbor.
