Robert Farquharson is a father of three who was murdered his three sons on September 4, 2005. He deliberately drove his car, a white 1989 VN Commodore, into a farm dam with his three sons in it, crashing and eventually sinking into a nearby pond. The three sons eventually drowned to death.

He was later arrested and found guilty of the murders in 2007. He was ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment with a 33 year minimum on October 15, 2010.

Trivia

  • He is the subject of the 2014 book, House of Grief, by Helen Garner, in which the work is based off of the murders of Farquharson's three children.
