His accomplice, [[John Paul Lopez]], was later charged with multiple counts of murder. ==Biography== Ronald Baquiran Bae was the son of former Imus City police chief Rodolfo Bae and a woman named Tomasa. He was born on November 9, 1971. Ronald Bae was the owner of a farm in Noveleta where he bred cocks, and also owned a poultry farm across from his home in Tabon 1. He also had a job as a used car salesman. It was alleged after he committed the shooting that Bae was a drug dealer, which his family strongly deny. Many in the community remember Bae as an upstanding and helpful citizen, while others remember him as the local bully who responded violently to the slightest provocation. In 2003, Bae allegedly had an argument with a helper of his named Teodulo Villanueva, who lied to him about an illegal cock fight they attended. According to Lopez, Bae murdered Villanueva and buried his body outside the house. Bae is also claimed to have killed multiple other people and disposed of their bodies in a similar fashion. Bae married his wife Elena in 2008, and they had five children, as well as two from a previous marriage by Bae. According to Elena, Bae mostly treated her well but was addicted to drugs, recalling an incident when she caught him staring at a wall and saying "I am the devil". Another incident on December 30, 2012, saw Bae and Lopez go on a drug bender and Bae started hitting Elena. When it looked like he would draw his gun, Elena took the children and hid until Bae left. Although they lived in Tabon 1 (a district in the municipality of Kawit), the family moved into a house in a hilly village in Guagua in 2008. Their house in Kawit was left in the care of Lopez. Two years later, Bae ran for chief of the village council in Tabon 1, hanging up a banner with his nickname "Bossing" emblazoned on it, but lost the vote. In March 2010, Bae was charged with possession of illegal drugs and placed on a police watchlist. On January 4, 2013, Bae (believed to be under the influence of drugs) walked out into the street and opened fire on the house across the street, killing a dog. The dog's owner, Alberto Fernandez, looked out onto the veranda to see what was going on. Bae shot him dead. He and Lopez then entered a nearby shop and began asking for the whereabouts of Bae's neighbour Berto Caimol. When told he wasn't around, Bae started shooting at Berto's three children. One of them, 7-year-old Michaella Andrea, died. The other two were seriously wounded. Bae then opened fire on random people in the street, killing a pregnant woman named Rhea de Vera y Alberto and her three-year-old daughter along with several others. Whenever he ran out of bullets, Lopez would reload the gun. In total seven people were killed and twelve injured. Bae then returned to his house, where armed police demanded that he drop his weapon. He refused and opened fire, causing them to shoot him dead. Several guns and 3.3 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from the property. Shortly afterwards, police captured Lopez when a family member turned him in. During questioning, Lopez told police that Bae had buried multiple bodies on the premises. A police search led to the discovery of Villanueva's body, but no other corpses were found. Bae is buried in the Angelus Eternal Garden in Imus City.
