Royal Russell Long was an American criminal who has been charged in some young womens' disappearances. He also had a history of sexually abusing young women, including his own daughter, who claimed he had molested her. In 1987 he was charged with kidnapping and murdering two girls who now remain missing. In a court case all charges against him were dismissed, but at some point he pleaded guilty to kidnapping another missing girl who disappeared in 1987, and while in custody, died of a heart attack in 1993.
