== Mob career ==
D'Aquila emigrated to the USA in 1986, and joined the mob under [[Giuseppe Morello]], the "boss of bosses". After Morello was arrested and jailed, D'Aquila left his mob, and formed his own crime family, becoming the new boss of bosses shortly after, and ordering the assassination of business rival [[Fortunato Lomonte]] by [[Umberto Valenti]]. D'Aquila initially operated from East Harlem and the Bronx, but later expanded into Brooklyn and New York City, encroaching on territory controlled by [[Giuseppe Masseria]] and starting a turf war as a result. During the war, D'Aquila tried to have Valenti kill Masseria twice, but Valenti failed both times and was subsequently killed by [[Charles Luciano]]. D'Aquila was shot dead in New York City in 1928 under orders from Masseria, and his criminal empire was subsequently taken over by [[Manfredi Mineo]].{{Stub}}
