On May 30 2009, Forde, [[Jason Eugene Bush]] and [[Albert Gaxiola]] gained entry into the home of the Mexican-American Flores family by claiming to be law enforcement officials looking for a fugitive. The three of them had the expectation of finding drugs that could be sold to finance the MAD, but when they didn't find any they took inexpensive jewellery and Jason Bush shot 29-year-old Raul Flores Jr., nine-year-old Brisenia Flores and 31-year-old Gina Gonzalez.
