Stanisław Ławrynowicz and Janusz Obrąpalski

Stanisław Ławrynowicz and Janusz Obrąpalski were the perpetrators of the Wilno school massacre in Wilno Poland, now Vilnius Lithuania.

Background

Stanisław Ławrynowicz born in 1902 and Janusz Obrąpalski born in 1904 Investigations revealed that the two had founded a communist organization to counteract the principal's strict management of the school and had met the day before to plan their actions. a few days later, a bomb large enough to blow up a large part of the building was found in a classroom.

Attack

On May 6, 1925 around 11 a.m. at the joachim lelewel high school during final exams the duo armed with revolvers and grenades attacked students and teachers, Ławrynowicz and another student were killed by detonating a grenade and Obrąpalski tried to detonate a grenade but failed, shooting more people before committing suicide by shooting himself in the temple.

As a result of the massacre 2 students and 1 teacher were killed and 10 other people were injured.
