Stephen Weaver Collins is a former American actor and writer who is known for playing Willard Decker in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Eric Camden in 7th Heaven and Gene Porter in Revolution. He is a member of the Episcopalian Church.
Sexual misconduct scandal
In October 2014, an audio tape allegedly of Collins admitting to sexually abusing a minor was released to the media. The LAPD then released a statement claiming that they had previously investigated Collins over similar claims in 2012, but refused to substantiate the claims made against him.
In an interview with People magazine in December 2014, Collins admitted that he had committed sexual misconduct with at least three underage girls, but wasn't charged. However his career is considered to be over as a result of the scandal, despite him directly apologising to one of his victims.
