Steven Kazmierczak (August 26, 1980 - Feburary 14, 2008) was a mass murderer who killed 6 and wounded many others before committing suicide at Northern Illinois University in 2008.
Background
Kazmierczak had an unusually disturbing childhood. He would teach friends how to make homemade bombs and abused animals, sometimes sexually. Later in life, he had a string of sexual partners, both male and female.
The shooting
On February 14, 2008, Kazmierczak kicked open the doors of a NIU lecture hall, removed a shotgun from a guitar case, and opened fire, killing 6 and wounding at least 17 before turning a gun on himself.
