== Before the attack == Shortly before the attack that resulted in Amman's death, he shared an [[al-Qaeda]] publication with his family and told a friend "[[The Islamic State]] is here to stay" (despite Islamic State and al-Qaeda being rivals). Amman also said to his girlfriend that she should kill her unbelieving parents. According to family posts, Amman radicalized his younger siblings with terrorist propaganda, at one point telling a family member that it was OK to rape Yazidi women because in the Koran it says men are allowed to rape slaves.
