On February 11, 2015, Özgecan Aslan was at a shopping center with his friends in Tarsus after leaving school and left his friends to go home. Thus, he gets on a minibus traveling between cities. Since then, his family, who could not hear from Aslan, notifies the police. The incident started to be enlightened as a result of the suspicion of a gendarme team who was searching for Özgecan, who had a missing notice, about a van asking for a road.



Upon doubts, the minibus is called by the gendarmerie and blood traces are found in the vehicle. Although the people in the vehicle were caught, they were later released. Afterwards, the hat found in the vehicle was found to belong to Aslan, and the van was taken for re-examination. Suphi Altındöken and his father dealt with jewelry in Tarsus, but later on they went to work as father and son minibus driver after their bankruptcy.



Understanding that he changed the service route, Özgecan Aslan argued with the driver and sprayed tear gas with the suspect who attempted to rape. However, the murderer Altındöken repeatedly stabbed Aslan and defeated Aslan with an iron bar. The service driver who explained the incident to his father and friend wanted to burn Özgecan's body with their help. Meanwhile, Aslan injured the suspect's face with his nails, the killers cut their hands to get rid of the DNA remains. Three people returned to the scene and set Özgecan Aslan's body on fire in the forest. The young girl's dead body was found on February 12, 2015 in Cinderesi bed with a part of her face and body burned.
