He was one of the leaders of the [[Young Turks]] and was also one of the architects of the [[Armenian Genocide]], the slaughter of over 1.5 million Armenians. He was assassinated by Armenian nationalist Soghomon Tehlirian in Berlin, Germany on March 15<sup>th</sup>, 1921.
