'''Theresa Irene "Terri" White '''(1962 - February 15, 2018) is a woman who masterminded the attempted murder-for-hire plot against her pregnant daughter-in-law in 2013.

Theresa's early life revealed that her father was an alcoholic, and she became one herself after getting married and giving birth to her son, Nick. Nick later got married to Melissa Shreve, and the couple welcomed a child, with Theresa expressing happiness over becoming a grandmother. However, Melissa noticed her mother-in-law's alcoholism becoming a problem, and at some point in August of 2013, both Melissa and Nick gave Theresa an ultimatum; stating that she would not see her grandson unless she quit drinking.

Theresa saw Melissa's ultimatum as a threat to keep her away from Nick and her grandson and became immensely angry at her daughter-in-law. Shortly afterwards, Theresa turned heel and decided to plan Melissa's murder, asking her sister-in-law, Barbara Dillion, to help her find a hitman to kill Melissa. She went to Barbara due to her brief marriage to a mafia hitman, and after their conversation, Barbara went to police and agreed to be an informant to trap Theresa. During their meeting, Theresa stated that she wanted Melissa dead, adding that she wanted her neck snapped, and wanted the murder to look like an accident.

In addition, Theresa lambasted Melissa and claimed that Nick complained about his wife to her, and shocked Barbara with the reveal that her daughter-in-law was pregnant and due in less than two months. She stated that the murder should be committed following the baby's birth, and she was doing it to bring her family back together. At that moment, police arrived and arrested Theresa for the planned murder-for-hire, and in 2015, Theresa took a plea deal and was sentenced to seven years in prison. On Feburary 15, 2018, Theresa died in prison of natural causes; she was 55.
