'''Thomas Lane''' is one of four police officers, the other three being [[Derek Chauvin|Derek Chauvin,]] [[Tou Thao]], and [[J. Alexander Kueng | J. Alexander Kueng]], that aided in the murder of George Floyd in May 2020.


He was convicted of federal civil rights violations on February 24 2022 along with Thao and Kueng. On May 18 2022, Thomas Lane pleaded guilty to state manslaughter, and received a 2.5 year sentence on July 21.
