Well, that would be a long stretch because while he did have an alleged affair with Sally Hemings. We also don't know if he might have raped Hemings. But aside from that, Jefferson never committed any war crimes as he believed in the Constitution. On the other hand, he also repealed the notorious Alien and Sedition Acts done by his frenemy John Adams, lowered taxes, eliminated tax of whisky, help win the Barbary Wars by destroying it's slave trade, avoid war with Europe, ban slave importation (despite owning slaves), help bought the Louisiana Purchase, and is responsible for helping to write the Declaration of Independence. He believed in religious freedom, btw. So, do you agree with me?

Also, Bush Jr made a horrible decision such as getting us involved in the Iraq War and ushered the Patriot Act, as well as many more that it's too impossible to list.

Note: Remember that it's important to judge figures by the times they originate in, NOT today's standards.
