Viktoria Kuznetsova
Viktoria Kuznetsova is a Russian mother who, aged 17,[1] killed her own baby son when he was nine months old.[2]

Egor Kuznetsova had been given to an orphanage by his teenage mother Viktoria when he was one month old, but she received him back when he was seven months old.[3] Kuznetsova left Egor alone in his pram in the family's home in Rostov, Russia to go out partying while her husband was performing mandatory military service.[1] Claiming an aunt was looking after the baby, she left him in the pram on September 5, 2017; he was found dead by police on September 13.[3] Police, who were tipped off by suspicious neighbours, were told by Kuznetsova she did not want to carry on looking after Egor.[2] She had planned to kill Egor ahead of starting college and complained he restricted her lifestyle; she spent the week he was dying partying and staying in different college dorms, returning once to provide for her dog but not for Egor.[1] She also posted cheerful messages on Vk.com throughout the incident.[3]
In January 2018 she was jailed for six and a half years, a sentence that provoked public criticism in Russia.[1] She had no prior crimes and her husband moved for divorce.[3]
