== Political life ==
As Minister of Economics, Funk accelerated the pace of rearmament and as Reichsbank president banked for the SS the gold rings of Nazi concentration camp victims, Nazi gold in Merkers Salt Mine, Eyeglasses of victims from Auschwitz, and ''Kristallnacht'' of November 1938, smashed window front of Jewish shop.
