On the fateful day, Oliveira entered the school, by identifying as a former student and lying to the security guard that he was there to give a speech. Instead of giving a speech, Oliveira entered a classroom, and at first, he was very polite when he put his bag on a table. Then suddenly, things turned nasty. He took out his revolvers and began shooting everyone. Of the 12 dead, 10 were girls and one boy said that Oliveira only shot at boys to stun them while he tried his best to kill the girls. However, it may be due to the fact that the population of the class is predominately girls. Soon, the police arrived and Oliveira tried to shoot the cops but he did not hit any of them. Soon, he was shot in the abdomen and legs, and he fell down a staircase whereupon he fatally shot himself in the head.

The struggle for which many brothers died in the past, and for which I will die, is not solely because of what is known as bullying. Our fight is against cruel people, cowards, who take advantage of the kindness, the weakness of people unable to defend themselves.
~ Wellington de Oliveira in a video he recorded two days prior to the shooting.
