Wilhelm Werner (June 6th, 1888 - May 14th, 1945) was a German naval and air force officer, politician, and leader of the SS. He sank many passenger ships, taking the lives of many, one of which, he infamously sank the RMS Carpathia, in which five lives were lost. For this, he was accused of War crimes in World War I, but the charges were unfortunately dropped against him in March of 1926.
