* March 4 to 8 - [[Gnadenhutten Massacre]]: 96 Lenape tribesmen are rounded up and taken to killing houses, where they are beaten, [[scalping|scalped]] and hacked to death by the Pennsylvania militia under the command of Lieutenant Colonel [[David Williamson]]. Many women are [[Gang Rape|gang-raped]] by the militia before being killed.
