- May 1 - Indigenous Australian Genocide - Approximately 13 Noongar people are massacred by a party of colonists in reprisal for killing civilians, at Wonnerup. The colonists were given orders to kill only the men and spare the women and children.
- May 1 - Indigenous Australian Genocide - At Hornet's Nest in South Australia, an aboriginal camp is massacred by a police party in reprisal for attacks on livestock
- August 27 - Indigenous Australian Genocide - Under orders from governor George Grey, due to attacks on eleven settlers, a reprisal party of 70 men massacred approximately 30 natives, at the Rufus River.
