* February 12 - The [[Communist Party of the Soviet Union|Russian Communist Party]] launches an invasion of Georgia.
* March 4 - [[Woodrow Wilson]]'s tenure as President of the United States officially ends after his two terms expire.
* March 18 - The second Peace of Riga ends the Polish–Soviet War. A permanent border is established between the Polish and Soviet states.
* May 8 - The [[Romanian Communist Party]] is founded.
* May 16 - The [[Communist Party of Czechoslovakia]] is founded.
* May 25 - The [[Irish Republican Army]] occupies and burns The Custom House in Dublin, the centre of local government in Ireland. Five IRA men are killed, and over 80 are captured by the British Army which surrounds the building.
* May 31 to June 1 - The [[Greenwood Massacre]] occurs in Tulsa, Oklahoma when mobs of white residents, most of them deputized and given weapons by city officials, attack black residents and businesses in the Greenwood District of Tulsa. An estimated 150 to 300 people are killed and over 800 are injured.
