2010 Sangin airstrike
The 2010 Sangin airstrike was a bombing committed by the United States of America in the Afghan village of Sangin. While it was likely targeted at members of the Taliban, none were found in the area, and all 39 of the victims were women and children. For weeks, US military and NATO officials denied that there had been any such incident.
