Urbsas Adolfas 07.08.1900 Kirdonys(Pandelis county) 19.05.1973 Kaunas, a war activist of Lithuania and USSR.Colonel (1938). 1920 mobilized into the Lithuanian Armed Forces. After graduating from the Military School in 1921 he was appointed junior officer of 4 companies of the 1st Infantry Regiment, and on 12 December 1923 he was adjutant of the regiment. In 1925 he graduated from the Higher Vocational Training Course for Grand Duke Vytautas. 1926-31 he served in the Military School. In 1934 he graduated from the General Staff Division of Vytautas Magnus Officer Training Course. 1934-35 Chief of Division 3 (Operations), 3rd Infantry Division, transferred to Third Infantry Regiment, 1935 Assistant Regiment Commander, appointed in 1937 as Chief of Staff of 3 Infantry Division. 1938-40 Chief of General Staff.

06 June 1940 After the USSR occupation of Lithuania, the Seventh Infantry Regiment was appointed Commander of the Twenty-ninth Territorial Riflemen Corps of the USSR in the event of liquidation of the Lithuanian Armed Forces 184 Rifle Division 297 Rifle Regiment Commander. In 1941-42 he taught at the Higher Military Courses in Chisinau (Sverdlovsk Region), 1942-43 and 1946-55 in Solnechnogorsk. 1943-44 Sixteenth Lithuanian Rifle Division of the USSR Armed Forces Chief of Staff at Oriole Front. February 13, 1944 signed a letter of appeal to former officers of the Lithuanian Armed Forces remaining in Lithuania not to fight the approaching Soviet army. 1944-45 Commander of the Lithuanian Rifle Division; major-general (1944). Under his command, the division participated in the Siauliai operation, the battles near the Nemunas, Klaipėda, and Kurs. 1954 Joins the CPSU. Released in 1955, he returned to Lithuania. 1955–61 Chief of the Military Department of the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy. 1963-65 Military Museum deputy director.
