Ahmed Abdallah Abderemane (in Arabic, أحمد عبد الله عبد الرحمن, Ahmad Abd Allah Abd ar-Rahman, June 12, 1919 - November 26, 1989) 1 was a Comorian puppet dictator from October 25, 1978 until his death in 1989 run by warlord Bob Denard.

Abdallah was born in Domoni, located on the island of Anjouan. Its participation in the government begins in the decade of the 40, while the Comoros was still part of France; in particular, he became President of its general council from 1949 to 1953, becoming President of the Chamber of Deputies during 1970.
In 1972, as leader of his political party (Democratic Union of the Comoros or UDC), he became President of the Governing Council and Head of Government of the Comoros, a position he held until July 6, 1975, when the islands reached its independence from France (except Mayotte, which voted to remain a French colony).
In this context, Abdallah went on to become the first president of the independent islands, until his overthrow by Said Mohamed Jaffar via a coup on August 3, 1975.5 Jaffar on the other hand, would later be overthrown by Ali Soilih in 1976.
Abdallah, (who had been living in exile in Paris, France) carried out a coup against Soilih in 1978 with the help of the mercenary Bob Denard.5 Then Said Atthoumani took over as "Chairman of the Political-Military Directorate "for ten days, while Abdallah and Mohamed Ahmed assumed the co-presidency; 7 on July 22 meanwhile, their titles were changed as" Co-Presidents of the Directorate "and on October 3, Abdallah becomes the only one incumbent; 7 finally, on October 25, he assumes the title of president and remains in office until his death, despite the existence of three coup attempts against him.
In 1982, Abdallah abolished all political parties in the Comoros, including the UDC, creating a new political referent grouped in the Comorense Union for Progress (UCP), the only legally permitted party; thus, the country becomes a one-party state. Some opponents of the regime are executed or disappear during their tenure, which Ahmed was the only candidate allowed to stand in the elections,. The only candidate to be allowed to stand for election, Ahmed Abdallah was re-elected on September 30, 1984, and his party won all seats in the Federal Assembly on May 22, 1987
In 1984 he was reelected unopposed, while in 1989 the possibility of opting for a third term was assured - via popular referendum - however, on November 26 of that year he was assassinated in his office in the capital due to injuries. machine gun, being automatically succeeded by Haribon Chebani, president of the Supreme Court; It should be noted that on November 29 a coup led by Ali Soilih's half-brother, Said Mohamed Djohar, removed Chebani from office, taking office as the country's new president.
