Alexander William Whipple (born August 23, 1997) is the murderer and rapist of his five-year-old niece, Elizabeth Shelley. According to James Swink, a Cache County attorney, Whipple kidnapped his niece, raped her, sodomized her, and killed her by stabbing her in the back with a knife. On September 24, 2019, Whipple was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the murder, rape, and kidnapping of Shelley.
