Amanda Dawn Carmack (born September 27, 1984) murdered her 10-year-old stepdaughter in 2019.
Biography edit
Amanda's history revealed that she is a mother of three children from a previous marriage, and in addition, she had three of her brother's children living with her in the house, with Skylea (Amanda's stepdaughter) being the only non-blood relative. It was also revealed that Amanda was abusive to some of the children, often forcing them to face a wall for hours as punishment, which also included striking them with a pink belt.
Regarding Skylea, Amanda became irate at her stepdaughter after finding out that she took another girl's charm bracelet, and afterwards, she slapped Skylea before choking her with her bare hands and later strangling her to death by--according to Amanda's confession--tying something around her neck. The murder was committed on August 31, 2019, and after killing her stepdaughter, Amanda placed Skylea's body in a shed and reported her missing. She was found four days later, leading to Amanda's arrest.
Amanda confessed to killing Skylea, claiming that she didn't remember all of the details--other that she was on top of Skylea, who was on her back. Regarding her reasoning, the evil Amanda only stated that she was angry at the time of the murder, and she was charged not only with Skylea's murder, but with neglect, strangulation, and domestic battery. On Monday, September 9, Amanda announced that she would represent herself in her trial.
