Anna Ayala
Anna Ayala is a villainess and scam artist best known for her notorious false claim against Wendy's in 2005.
It was on March 22, 2005 that Anna claim to have found a severed human finger inside her chili from a Wendy's restaurant in San Jose, California. She sued the chain, but an investigation revealed that the finger did not come from any of the employees, and it was later revealed that the fingertip belonged to Brian Rossiter, a co-worker of Anna's husband. Rossiter lost the fingertip in an accident in December 2004, and sold it to Anna to settle a debt.
It was also revealed that Anna habitually filed lawsuits for financial gain, and it was three months after buying the fingertip that Anna and her husband, Jaime Placencia, used it to scam Wendy's. Anna was arrested on April 21, and it was five months later that both Anna and Jaime pled guilty and confessed to the scam. Anna was originally sentenced to nine years, though her sentence was reduced to four years in January 2006.
Anna was arrested again in 2013 for lying, this time to police regarding her son, Guadalupe Reyes. Reyes shot himself in the ankle by accident in October 2012, and knowing that possessing a firearm was a violation of his parole, the evil Anna stated to police that her son was shot by a pair of unknown men. However, Reyes cracked under questioning and admitted to the accident, leading to Anna being arrested for filing a false police report. She was sentenced to two years in prison.
