{{Stub}} {{Villain Infobox |image = Bobby_Shmurda.jpg |fullname = Ackquille Jean Pollard |alias = Bobby Shmurda
Bobby |origin = New York City, New York, United States |occupation = Rapper |skills = Rapping |hobby = Composing hip hop music |goals = Become successful (succeeded) |crimes = Weapons possession
Drug dealing
Conspiracy
Corruption
|type of villain = Anti-Villainous Criminal Rapper }} '''Ackquille Jean Pollard''' (born 4 August 1994) also known by his stage name '''Bobby Shmurda''', is an American rapper who became quite popular after signing a deal with Epic Records and releasing his hit single "Hot N*gga". He was arrested by the New York City Police on December 18, 2014 and was charged with murder, weapons possessions and reckless endangerment. He pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to prison for seven years, which was reduced to five due to credit for the two years awaiting trial counting towards the sentence. == History == === Early life === Born on August 4, 1994 in Miami, Florida to a Jamaican fahter and an African-American mother,Β and moved to Brooklyn, New York after his father's incarceration, Pollard was the ringleader of a criminal enterprise known as "G Stone [[Crips]]", or "GS9" for short, which regularly got into dispute with criminal gangs, committed murder, carried out non-fatal shootings and engaged in [[Illegal Drug Trade]]. === Criminal charges === On December 18, 2014, Pollard pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, reckless endangerment, and drug and gun possession, and was held on $2 million bail. Head of the New York City Police Department, James Essig, said Pollard's songs were "almost like a real-life document of what they were doing on the street". In the song "Hot N*gga", Pollard rapped that he sold crack cocaine since fifth grade because his brother taught him. He has propounded that the lyrics represent his real life in several interviews. Despite of this, the Supreme Court of New Jersey has ruled that lyrics cannot be read at trial as evidence unless they have a "strong nexus" to a specific crime. ==== Conviction ==== Pollard pleaded guilty to one one charge of third-degree conspiracy and one charge of weapons possession on September 2, 2016 during a plea deal. He was sentenced to prison for seven years, which was reduced to five due to credit for the two years awaiting trial counting towards the sentence.
