Biography
Born in 1906 in St. Petersburg in a working class family. Lithuanian.
He worked at one of the enterprises of Leningrad. In the Soviet Army in 1939-1940 and from May 1943. In the army since June 21, 1943. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944.
Commanding a platoon of the 18th separate reconnaissance company, senior sergeant Boleslav Gegzhnas during the Soviet offensive in the Kelmeysky direction (Lithuanian SSR), from October 6 to 9, 1944, was among the first to liberate the city of Šilale, then crossed the Jura River. He was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield.
Since 1945, Junior Lieutenant Geghnas - in stock. He lived and worked in Leningrad.
He died in 1952. He was buried at the Theological Cemetery [1]. Awards
