Christopher Fallon is a 71-year-old man from Britain who contacted a man with severe learning disabilities telling him he could help with his problem before sexually abusing and raping him at least 150 times over a four-year period. He got away with it for so long because the man was too seriously mentally disabled to know he was being abused. On 15th January 2020, he was convicted of his crimes and faces up to 10 years in prison.

Background edit

Fallon used the vulnerable man's medical fears during what was described by authorities as a "sickening" campaign of rape.

Recorder Richard Shepherd told Exeter Crown Court that the abuse had been "sickening".

"He committed some 176 serious sexual offences." said Shepherd. "Three to four times a month for a period of four years he raped and sexually abused a very vulnerable man in his 30s."

Fallon, a father with no previous convictions, raped his victim a total of 38 times. He become friends with the disabled man and then went on to abuse his trust after he "exploited him for his own sexual gratification."

Fallon tricked his victim into thinking he could help with one of his medical conditions. He convinced the man that he was a type of healer, and threatened to withdraw his "treatment" if he did not carry out sex acts on himself and "exploited his fear deliberately and callously". Prosecutor Kelly Scrivener said he used tools for "massages" - which were in fact two vibrators.

According to Scrivener: "The defendant offered help as a sex therapist and the victim trusted him to unblock his sexual problem. He did not have the capacity to recognise that what the defendant was doing to him was not treatment for his condition."

He was ultimately sentenced to 17 years in prison.
