The DINA was the secret police between 1974 and 1977 of the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in Chile.
History
It was founded on June 14, 1974 by Augusto Pinochet as a secret police for the extortion and execution of opponents of the dictatorship. The DINA committed many crimes against humanity, including torture, extortion and execution of opponents, mostly communists, among their torture practices were to put a rat rats in the back of their victims, train dogs to rape women and give electric shocks to the genitals of their victims. Finally, the DINA would be disintegrated on June 14, 1974 to be replaced by the CNI.
